Is It Worth Fighting For?

I am going to be real with you all. I hate conflict, and I hate negative vibes messing with my even-keeled way of life.

Just the other day I saw a wooden whale I had to have. The sales person said 60 bucks. What a deal, if I were to go out and buy a whale in the wild it would be at least 3x times as much. I had to have it.

Whale, whale, whale, would you look at that. #whale #capeporpoise #mainelife

When I went to pay for it, the cashier asked for more than 60. I thought about fighting for the 60 the other sales person had said it was, but I didn’t. I didn’t want what I perceived to be a negative situation messing up my good vibes.

On the other hand, now my wife thinks I am a huge pushover, but she knew what she was marrying.

This got me to thinking of what is worth fighting for? What would I stand up for?

Are your goals worth fighting for?

How about your relationships?

What about your marriage?

If I look back to what I fight for it is usually me fighting for me to be right or for me to feel respected. That is important to me but in the grand scheme not that important at all.

What you fight for shows what you find essential in your life or worthwhile.

Look back and see what you fight for and are those things worth it?

For me fighting for me to be right is a waste of time and energy. Instead, I should put that energy into say fighting for a stronger marriage or promote a new workshop.

Fighting for something is not a negative when appropriately done instead it is a show of love for that which you are fighting for.

What are you fighting for?
