Single Leg Squats are a great way to work on leg stability and strength. Single leg stability is important for people that like to do things like walk, hike, run, play competitive activities so basically everyone.
I like the Single Leg Squat Off Box variation because I find that most people do better stepping down and sitting back then just having them Single Leg Squat to a box. People are better at sitting back into the hip and feeling confident in the movement in this version.
The Exercise
Coaching Cues
- Feel the foot on the box (big toe, pinky toe, and heel)
