Ankle mobility plays a big roll in walking, running, squatting, and everyday movements.

If you have ever sprained your ankle, you know how it feels to go through life with an ankle that is limited in mobility. You can recall how hard it was to go up and down stairs or kneel to tie your shoe or pick up popcorn that overflowed out of the bowl and fell under the lip of the counter in the far back corner.

How is that even possible?

But you get the point having a lack of ankle mobility makes doing everyday tasks a little harder.

That is why it is essential to make sure you have enough ankle mobility before you start to lift. Without it will lead to compensation patterns, not all compensations lead to injuries, but it is good to have as few as possible.

Here is a quick test to see if you need to be working on your ankle mobility.
