When You Should Take A Recovery Day

All the questions below are on a scale of 1 to 5, one being low and five beings high

  • How muscularly sore are you?
  • How hard have you been training for the last few weeks? 
  • How do you feel?
  • How was your sleep quality? 

If you find yourself answering the first two questions with 5’s and the second two questions with 1’s, you will want to take a recovery day. 

If you find yourself in the middle (mostly 3’s), you should be fine to train as expected or take a set off of each exercise.
