What is Cardio Strength Training?

You may have heard the phrase “cardio strength training”. It is a popular form of exercise. Which you could easily guess, involves some for of lifting weights and a touch of cardio.

If this was what you were thinking then you would be correct. If not, what were you thinking? It’s in the name.

The reason cardio strength training is such a popular form of exercising is because it’s a bang for your buck form of exercising. If done correctly you will increase your strength, increase your cardio, and create the perfect stressor for fat burning.

Wow, all that in one exercise routine! How do I set up a routine that gets me all this?

There is a handful of ways to accomplish this. Ideally you will use weights in your 75 to 85% 1 Rep Max Range, to increase strength. Using exercises like Lunges, Squats, Rows, etc. Once you pick a few exercise you will add in some cardio exercises like, Mt Climbers, Burpees, Sprints, Carrie variations, etc.
