In this weeks reading nook:
There is a great read on why hacks are bullshit (which is great because I have always hated the term “Life Hacking”), I have a few fun Landmine variations for you, and finally, a few Squat and Deadlift tips that will be sure to help you out big time.
Give them a read.
What’s In My Reading Nook?
This month I have been reading this little book. If you aren’t familiar with TED talks that’s OK. To get you up to speed they are 18-minute talks that people like to listen to, to feel smart and sophisticated about themselves. A normal conversation after Youtubing a talk goes like this:
“Have you heard the latest TED talk?”
Friend looks back at you with a face that says, “why are you talking to me.”
“Well, it was really great and enlightening and you should listen to it.”
The friend, at this point reconsidering their friendship, will say something like, “Yeah I’ll have to watch that sometime.”
You leave knowing that you just made the world a slightly more educated place and that is a world you are happy to live in.
On a slightly more serious note, they are really good talks.
Anyways Talk Like TED is a great read if you have to give any talks (conferences, board meetings, coffee house theater, and so on). Click here to learn more. TED It Up
