The other day my wife Sarah got new glasses. She had been wearing her old one for a number of years and needed an updated prescription.
When she put the new glasses on the first thing she said was, “Wow, I can see things more clearly, the edges of objects look sharper.” For years she saw objects with slight distortion, it was only until she got her new glass that she could see everything as it truly is.
I recently heard the phrase, “God sees us with terrible clarity”. Meaning God sees us for who we really are, all the selfish thoughts we have in our hearts, and the veil that runs through our minds, and all the hurtful things we say and do. He sees us perfectly for who we are.
And yet, he still loves us and sent His son, His son, His only son to die for us.
As God works in us and sanctifies us we slowly start to see ourselves as God sees us. That is not so we are filled with shame because of our sins but to realize how much we need God and how great the love of God is. Bringing us to repentance and forgiveness.
Romans 5:8 8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Know that God sees you for who you are and still adopted you as sons and daughters of the most high. Prays be to God.
