Every morning when I wake up, I make a pot of french press coffee. If I want to spice it up, I will take the time to make pour over.
If you have not had a cup of french press/pour over coffee or can’t tell the difference between french press and drip coffee, then I don’t know why you are even drinking coffee. And if you say that Keurig coffee tastes good, then I will ask you try it without sugar and cream and tell me how that crap passes as coffee!
Sorry, sorry got a little passionate there.
Drip feed coffee and Keurig coffee are convenient – they are quick and easy. They are also lower quality.
When I make a pot of French press coffee, it takes me between 8 to 10 minutes; from grinding the beans to heating the water to letting the coffee bloom to the final pour into my cat-clad coffee mug.
For some people, being awake that long without caffeine running through your bloodstream won’t work: you have already lost your mind, and you are now pouring sugar straight into your mouth.
Just like good coffee, anything of quality will take time and work. You can’t rush success.
For those that put in the work, in time good things will come. Every day I am reminded of that truth when I take the time to craft a beautiful cup of coffee.
