10 Best Articles of 2014

We have had a great year at Williams Performance and it would not have been possible without you all.

I have been busy scrounging through the posts of the past year and compiled this list of my 10 best articles of 2014.

1. Part I The Runners Dilemma: Feeling Great and Losing Weight: Without a doubt this was the most popular post of the year. This post talks about the common injures that come along with running and also talks about why you should not turn to running to lose weight.

2. Fed Up: Time to Break Your Scale: This is a very resent post but it was well received. In this post I discuss alternative ways to check your progress other then the bathroom scale.

3. Part II The Runners Dilemma: Strength Training For Running: Piggy backing on part I of the Runners Dilemma. I wrote a post about how to design a strength program for a runner.

4. Making The Pallof Press More Challenging: This article is an ode to my favorite oblique exercises (Sorry there is not lyric poem). In this article I talk about making the Pallof Press more challenging without increasing the weight.

5. Hey You’re Doing It Wrong: 5 Common Exercises That Are Bastardized: In this post I look at 5 common exercises that are done incorrectly and tell you how to fix them. I also go on a short rant about vocabulary, I don’t know how I ever tied that in.

6. Understanding The Difference Between Missing A Lift And Going To Failure: Missing a lift and going to failure are two concepts that can be misunderstood. One can make you better the other will tear you down.

7. Isolation Work: Is There A Need For It?: Of course a post on bicep curls and triceps kick backs would get lots of interest. I discuss if it is necessary to do isolation work.

8. Favorite Exercises of 2013: These were my favorite exercises of the year before this one. There is a lot of great exercises and videos of me trying to look strong.

9. 3 Quick Tips That Will Get You Faster Results: Everyone wants results did you know that it’s the little things you aren’t doing that may be keeping you back.

10. How Results Work: I wrote this post last week and it has already cracked my top 10.

Have a great end to your year and my this year be better then the last.

Much Love

Josh Williasm
